the whitepepper dress

Boots: Clarks
Bag: Ebay

I'm definitely quite a girly girl when it comes to fashion; I love nothing more than wearing a cute dress and ankle boots; these are my favourite outfits to toddle around in at the weekend. I first saw this adorable The Whitepepper blue polka dot dress on Lily and I have wanted it ever since. I couldn't quite bite the bullet and pay the full price for it so I sulked from then on. By some miracle it went into a flash sale for half price and I was straight on it.

Although the oversize shape isn't the most flattering for me, I love the length, smaller waist and pattern; what's not to love? I think it's more of a summer dress with the baby blue shade but I'm hoping it will still look good layered with tights and a jumper. Unfortunately it's no longer in the sale but it wouldn't surprise me if it goes on sale further into Autumn/Winter so keep your eyes peeled if you're as obsessed as me.

It feels like I've been super busy recently but I wouldn't be able to tell you what with; I've really been trying to enjoy my free time and chill out a bit more, especially enjoying family time. Things are only going to get busier from this week as I'm off to the theatre to see One Man, Two Guvnors, seeing Lee Evans and my Dad has a big birthday party next weekend; so excited for all of these!

Who else is already looking forward to next weekend?

Feelunique Haul

The lovely people at Feelunique let me choose some bits to try and I thought I would show you what I went for; I think this is a rather exciting beauty haul if you ask me!

The photo speaks for itself really but you can see and hear about the items more in detail in my latest video!

I've been pretty busy the last week which is why my blogging has gone a bit out the window but I'd rather blog in better quality rather than more quantity...I hope that makes sense. This weekend I ended up early upgrading to the new iPhone 6 as I just couldn't resist it's prettiness and so far I am very happy! The rest of my weekend will consist of nephew cuddles, youtube watching and bedroom tidying (rock and roll!).

Have any of you tried any of these products?

London Fashion Week

My outfit: Missguided dress
Ebay bag
Primark boots
New Look coat

On Friday I got a text from my lovely friend Megan asking if I wanted to join her at a fashion show for London Fashion Week the next day. Did she really think I would say no!? I started planning my outfit straight away and decided to wear this new dress from MissGuided as I just love the eye catching print, and I felt comfortable too; I think the swing/shift shape is also really flattering. I debated whether to go for tights or bare legs but I’m so glad I went with the first option as the clouds came out to play when I got to London. I teamed the dress with my heeled chelsea boots from Primark as they give me a nice height, but I can actually walk in them for a while, which is always essential around London!

We attended the Emerging Trends Fashion show near Marble Arch and it was great to be apart of a fancy little show, where we were amazingly sat on the front row! I loved some of the pieces, especially the midi skirt outfit you can see, but most of it wasn’t quite my thing! As well as getting a little snippet of LFW, I also got to catch up with Meg and have a lovely dinner which really topped off the evening. I jumped back on the fast train home (after getting lost in Westfields Shopping Centre for twenty minutes) and went back home to my pyjamas!

Today has been spent shopping, tidying and chilling; a perfect Sunday (minus the tidying). I hope you’ve all had good weekends and you like my outfit choice?

the statement slip ons

The statement slip ons are one little trend I wanted to get in on. What's not to love about a pretty but comfy pair of shoes? When I popped into my local Primark I spotted these leopard print gems and knew they had to be mine, and at £7, I definitely wasn't going to leave without them in my big blue basket.

I like to pair these with skinny jeans, normally rolled up, but I also like to wear them with little dresses as they just add that little something to an outfit. They're perfect for this transitional stage in the seasons when it's just too chilly for sandals but not chilly enough for boots.

Although mine were the ultimate bargain, it's not always easy to find what you want in Primark so I've picked out some of my favourites from ASOS if you want to get in on the comfy action.

Let me know what you think.

edinburgh part one

I’ve mentioned on my blog before that Dan and I took a road trip (an eight hour one) to Edinburgh for five days for our anniversary. I took quite a lot of photos so I wanted to share our time with you. Our first stop was Arthur’s Seat as the weather was really good that day and we wanted to enjoy it as much as possible. I was a bit worried about the trek up to the top but I managed to get right to the peak in Vans so I wouldn’t worry if you’re thinking about it! Although, it was quite dry and sunny and it would be pretty slippery if it wasn’t! The views were pretty lovely as you can see and we had a mini picnic on the way down.

After stopping for a Starbucks we went and explored The Royal Mile and Grassmarket. I really fell in love with the architecture in Edinburgh and I felt it was very Parisian, especially with these cute cafes.

I loved this quaint street off Grassmarket, the colourful buildings were so lovely. Dan was desperate to go to a well reviewed juice and smoothie bar called Hula which we ended up visiting twice that day, the first time was for a smoothie and brownie stop and the next was for lunch where we had these amazing cajun wraps. I would highly recommend this little place. Watch out for the Edinburgh vlogs so you can see the smoothies. We also took a trip to the National Museum of Scotland that day as it wasn’t far from where we were.

I thought I would finish the first part of the Edinburgh series with a little view of the street we stayed on. We found this amazing apartment on Airbnb which was situated on this beautiful street called Abercromby Place. It was in walking distance to most things but far enough away for a little quietness and escape. It was our first experience of using Airbnb and it all went smoothly so I would definitely use it again. You can see a flat tour on the upcoming vlogs as I forgot to take photos of the apartment (oops).

I hope you enjoyed my first post and photos of Edinburgh and make sure you're following to see the rest!

the perfect bag

I’ve always loved a bag. When I was little my parents called me The Bag Lady as I use to flounce around the house with all my little handbags, whilst wearing a swimming costume I might add (don’t ask). I’ve never spent much money on a handbag as I’m quite fickle and like to switch and change them all the time.

My dream would be to own a Mulberry, but I just can’t take that plunge yet and I’d be worried I’d want to change it the next month. I decided recently I needed a new addition; it had to be black and big, but not too big. Not too much to ask right?

I had seen these Celine dupes going around and I decided to hit up Ebay to try and find one. As you can see, I was successful and I’m now the owner of  this extremely lovely specimen. I decided to dedicate a whole blog post on it as it’s too nice not to share. I’ve found the specific buyer I bought it from as I was so impressed with the delivery, packaging and quality. Unfortunately the plain black is sold out so here's a similar one

What do you think of my new addition?
