garnier perfect blur primer

I am always on the look out for the perfect primer; I don't think I've ever felt 100% happy with a Primer I've used. I just want something that's going to smooth and improve my skin, creating the best base for my makeup, whilst keeping my makeup in place all day. I've come to the realisation that I'm asking for too much.

I wasn't really enjoying the Rimmel Matte Primer that I was using so when I saw this Garnier one on offer I thought I would give it a go as I had heard a few good things about it.

I would liken the texture and feel to Benefit's Porefessional, it's got that almost powdery feel to it, although I find this Garnier one is much more workable than the Porefessional. I definitely think it works in the same way too and it does help to blur out pores and imperfections like it claims to.

I really love how soft this makes my skin feel and I think it works well with my makeup, but I wouldn't want to leave it too long without blending because it seems to set makeup quite quickly.

Can you feel a but coming? I would say this still isn't the perfect primer I'm looking for. I haven't noticed much of a difference throughout the day and I don't think it particularly helps to keep my makeup in place, but do any primers?

If any of you think you can help me out with the perfect primer then I would really appreciate it. What are your favourites?

  1. I'm on the hunt for the perfect primer. Right now I'm using a sample size of the No7 primer and really liking that one! Great review :)

  3. I picked this up not long ago and it's alright. It does make my skin a lot smoother, but you're absolutely right - I haven't actually noticed any different in staying power where my make up is concerned!

  4. try the revlon photo ready primer! it's doesn't last a whole day but i'd say a good 6-8 hours and it minimises the appearance of pores!

  5. I too find most primers to do nothing! I've tried Porefessional and this primer and found both to be a little too powdery. They blur pores for a while but then go a little odd and tend to oxidise on me.

Keep searching - I'll let you know if I find one! Haha :)
