my new love: eccentric molecule 01

I'm normally a bit funny about buying myself perfume, I see it as a good gift idea and normally only get a new bottle on a birthday or Christmas. I couldn't help myself with this one though; when I met Estée a couple of months ago, I had to ask her what she was wearing because she smelt extremely good (no creepiness intended!).

I knew this was a popular little bottle around the blog industry but I had heard very mixed reviews because the concept is that it smells different on every single person, but I will let Cult Beauty explain it a little better than I could...

'Molecule 01 is created from the aroma-chemical Iso E Super, which works as more of an effect than a fragrance. The subtle, velvety, woody scent melds with your natural pheromones, it smell different on everyone and alluring on anyone. You will rarely smell this fragrance on yourself, Molecule 01 is more about the effect it has on others.'

As soon as I sprayed this, I knew it was love; I love the woody, yet sweet scent and it's just the perfect combination of the two. I've had quite a few compliments when wearing this so I'm pretty pleased with that.

It was a bit of a risk buying this though because I ordered it online without giving it a go on myself, but I'm glad I bit the bullet. I actually just bought the refill version because it's still in a glass bottle and comes in a folded box but comes without a lid. You can pay another £11 for a better box but I didn't feel the need to.

Have you given this scent a go or ever been interested?

climbing trees

Shirt: SheInside*
White T-shirt- Primark
Leggings-Primark
Wellies- Dan's Nan's

Being a full-time working couple now, Dan and I like to do different things at the weekend to try and keep it fun and interesting. This Saturday, with the sun shining, we decided to go for a walk, so I borrowed his Nan’s wellies, grabbed my camera and off we went.

He might not admit it but I think Dan secretly likes being my photographer, he was the one that encouraged me to climb the tree, even though there was a very big drop just below!

I wanted to keep my outfits casual this weekend so I opted for this checked shirt and of course the wellies for the walk, but I thought I’d add the fur gilet for a bit of glamour in the woods.

With copious amounts of tea, snoozing through the rugby, a quick beauty shop and a roast dinner, I certainly had a delightful couple of days. I really feel like I’m living for the weekends at the moment…roll on the next one!

We actually filmed some footage for an outfit/vlog video that will go up on my YouTube channel in the week so look out for that.

get ready with me, from the shower to out the door

Dress: Urban Outfitters
Jumper: Boohoo
Coat: New Look
Bag: Primark
Lips: MAC Please Me

Maybe I shouldn't be so honest but I literally decided to film myself getting ready as soon as I got out the shower. I really enjoy watching/ seeing how people get ready and what products they use on an every day occasion. This was my Saturday face and attire and I thought I would share a few before and after photos with you. If you would like to see the video of me getting ready, it's only a few minutes, you can click HERE

My go-to style at the moment is a dress with a jumper layered on top; I'm definitely not a jeans girl, I was dealt with a pear shape body, which means skater and smock dresses are my saviours.

You may have already seen my new bag on the blog last week but in the video you get a sneak peek as to what I chuck  hide in there. This MAC lipstick is one of my all time favourites, it's the baby pink I always reach for; I love the soft formula and I think the shade is just perfect for that 'little bit of something'.

If you want to know what products I used on my face then you can see here

Thanks for reading or watching!

blog sale added.

I’ve had to come to the realisation that I’m a hoarder. Even if I've never worn something or only a couple of times, I find it extremely hard to get rid of things, just me?!

I keep having clear outs lately and I decided to sell some bits. At first I was going to pop them on Ebay but I thought I would give my lovely followers a go first.

There are a mixture of things from Topshop, H&M, Primark and New Look. You can find all the details and all the item images over HERE, or click the 'blog sale' tab up top.

If it goes down well, I have a couple of coats I would like to add and I will probably branch out into beauty items too.

Happy browsing!

black & white

Blazer/cardigan: charity shop
Top: Topshop
Skirt: H&M
Boots: BANK
Fur snood: Ebay
Lips: Revlon Lip Balm in Unapolegetic

It's that time again, when I reflect upon my weekend and I've had another lovely one which involved Nandos, flowers and 'Her' for Valentines, perusing shops and having lunch with Dan on Saturday and taking a trip to the lovely Canterbury and enjoying cream teas with the girls today. I had actually seen this skirt on Saturday and really liked it but only decided to try it on and buy it today, I really love A Line and body con skirts at the moment and I wanted to get one for myself. Ideally I would like a tapestry style or checked one, but this one will fill that gap for now as it was only £7.99! It's not the best sizing in my opinion as I actually had to get this in a 16 and I normally measure a 12 on bottom.

I grabbed my Dad to take these photos for me because it's much easier to ask someone 'to do this and do that' rather than having to keep moving my tripod every 2 seconds! I think he did a rather good job so I know what his weekend task is now!

Who else likes the A Line and body con style of skirts at the moment?

Zara Office City Bag dupe

Coat: Primark
Dress: ASOS
Knitted headband: ASOS
Boots: Topshop
Bag: Primark

This outfit post is mainly dedicated to my new Primark bag which I have to say is a pretty good dupe of the original Zara Office City Bag. I have A LOT of bags but I never spend too much on one because I get bored of them so quickly and I like to mix them up a bit.

I popped into Primark the other day and my eyes were drawn to this little beauty and I just couldn't walk away without it; at £12 I think it's a pretty good bargain compared to the Zara version (I'm sure not as good quality though). The bag has two zipped compartments which are either side of a main compartment, giving me enough room for lots of added extras!

I paired the bag with one of my favourite dresses which has been featured on the blog before and my cute little knitted headband with added ears! If you fancy seeing the outfit in action then you can watch the one minute outfit video I made above.

Who's got their eye on this bag too?

sunday loving

Coat: Primark
Dress: Primark
Boots: Schuh
Bag: Urban Outfitters

Today I had a rather lovely day which included taking my Mum to a spa for her birthday and we both enjoyed massages and sauna time. We then went on to the lovely Tenterden for a birthday lunch and as a surprise we met my Dad, Dan, my sister and her husband which my Mum was rather surprised and happy about.

We decided to head to Prezzo for lunch which was surprisingly my first one and I had this yummy 'light' pizza. I couldn't not take a photo of my brother-in-law's burger, wow! As you can see I wore my new Primark dress which is rather bright for winter but I love a pop of colour so I couldn't resist. I think this is going to be a popular dress!

After having a lovely day in the cold sunshine we had a nice meal at a family friends where we laughed and ate a lot. Overall I've had a pretty great weekend and it makes it all the hard to go back to work tomorrow!

What have you all been up to?

It's monthly favourites time again! I'm going to try and update my blog every month from now, as I always manage to do a video but always seem to include it on my blog. There's a mix of very low end and high end products so hopefully an interesting range.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic

Some of you may know that my all time favourite lip product (big statement I know), would have to be the long lasting Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Lovesick. Not only do I love the vibrant pink shade, the lasting power of the stain is amazing. I'm a no-fuss kind of girl so anything that requires little re-application is a big must for me.

When I heard they were bringing out these new Colorburst balms I was pretty excited because I am a sucker for a lip product. Between the matte and lacquer versions, I knew I would have to try one of the matte shades as I'm not a massive fan of a glossy lip on myself.

I decided to go for Unapolegetic as it sits between a pink and an orange, a perfect pop of colour in my opinion. I was slightly worried that the application would be a bit chalky, like the Topshop lip sticks but to my surprise, it glides on amazingly and it's quite moisturing too. The only fault I would have to point out is that it is quite transferabe to start with so you have to be careful when eating etc; I also don't find it to be as long lasting as the their lip stains but it's definitely up there with my favourite lip products and I've been wearing it rather a lot throughout January.

Have any of you tried these products out?

rain rain go away

Coat: New Look
Dress: ASOS
Snood: Ebay
Bag: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Schuh

I don't know about you but I am seriously fed up of all this raining, BUT today we had a little break and the sun was shining (in my opinion, the sun always makes things better). I have had a really lovely weekend; I had my hair cut and coloured (going back for more colour next weekend), I went shopping, had dinner out, went for a Costa lunch today and spent a bit of time outside washing my car (so glamorous!)

I actually bought this coat in New Look yesterday and I was deliberating about it for ages before I decided to bite the bullet. It's not particularly thick but I still love it and it was £35 which I think is pretty reasonable. I grabbed my sister to take these photos for me before the sun crept away!

I haven't worn this dress on my blog yet but I love it SO MUCH; I am a massive fan of French Bulldogs and I would love to own one in the future, but this dress is to keep me happy for now.

I hope you've all had good weekends. What have you all been up to?
