what i got for christmas 2013

As always I was extremely lucky this Christmas and all my loved ones truly spoilt me. As you can see I got a new camera lens for my Canon 600D which is a 40mm pancake lens; I had heard it was great for taking photos, especially blog ones so I've taken these with it and I truly love it already.

I had needed a new camera tripod for a while and this one fits the best perfectly. More favourites of mine are the Topshop denim jacket which I had been lusting over for a while and the Jo Malone perfume in Pomegranate Noir. My new Muji storage has already been setup with my makeup filing its drawers and I love it!

As I said already I am truly grateful for everything I got this year and I'm so super happy.

What did you guys get?

my outfits of 2013

I thought I would do a 2013 round up of my outfits which I didn't get round to doing last year and I'm glad I've done it; it's interesting for me to see where I went wrong and right and what my favourite outfits were. My best month was probably September when I wore the black and white dress and the red dress. My hair has gone through its ups and downs throughout the year and now I feel like it needs even more of a chop and maybe some more highlights, but I'm not sure yet.

I was IN LOVE with the mint jumper when I first got it so I wore it to death but it's got a bit forgotten lately so I might have to get that out tomorrow!

I can't believe Christmas is over and that 2013 is nearly gone; I seriously love Christmas time and I had a great few days. Today I have been chilling with my mum and watching Crazy Stupid Love (hello Ryan Gosling), which I enjoyed a lot. Tomorrow I'm off to a big get together with my girls and then Tuesday Dan and I are headed to Brighton for New Years Eve; we're staying in a really cute B&B so I'm quite excited.

It might be a bit late but I'll be showing you what I got for Christmas next! I hope you had a great one too!

2013 has been an amazing year for me, I've graduated (see the pretty dress picture), I've travelled round bits of America for three weeks and I've got myself a full time job; I'm hoping 2014 will top this year somehow and I'm looking forward to the growth of my blog and YouTube!

my christmas wrapping

Brown paper- Post Office
White patterned paper- Sainsburys
Red paper- Sainsburys
Red and cream polka dot ribbon- Independent shop
All rosettes- Marks & Spencer
All tags- Marks & Spencer
Grey polka dot ribbon- Marks and Spencer
Mini bells- Marks & Spencer
Plain thick red ribbon- Independent shop
All other rope/ribbon- Marks & Spencer

I decided to be a bit more creative with my wrapping this year; I love giving people presents and I think part of Christmas is having pretty, well wrapped presents to put under the tree. My wrapping bits have come from all sorts of places including Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys and independent shops but I hope I've made it clear where everything's from.

I headed to Marks & Spencer first to grab all the cute tags and the little bells. I loved mixing and matching all the patterns and colours this year and I'm so pleased with how they turned out.

I know it's a bit late to give you any tips but it might help for next year and I just wanted to share the pictures with you!

I hope you all have great Christmases and I'll be back with festive photos I'm sure!

a very berry Christmas

Sleek blush in Pomegranate
Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in 18
Barry M nail polish in Berry Cosmo
Bourjois Paris Colour Edition in Prune Nocturne

Since Autumn and Winter began I have had a want for berry coloured makeup. The first items I bought were the Bourjois creme eye shadow in Prune Nocturne which is a purple shade with a touch of gold/brown, which I think is a lovely shade for the outer corners of the eye. I think this would be great for an evening as it creates quite a smokey look.

I seriously love this Barry M nail polish in Berry Cosmo which I have worn so much since I got it; as well as it being a gorgeous colour, the formula is just right as it's so pigmented and shiny.

This Bourjois lipstick is a bit darker than I would normally go for but I took a risk and I quite like the look it creates. It's got a slight shimmer to it which adds a little something.

The Sleek blush has been on my cheeks since I bought it; I was after a plum shade and this one fits the bill. I've switched my Sleek Pixie Pink blush for this one for the coming months!

I think these products will be great for Christmas time...which by the way I can't wait for!

Soap & Glory's bargain Christmas bag!

The Scrub of Your Life
Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion
Peaches & Clean cleanser
The Righteous Butter
Thick & Fast mascara
Hand Food
Sugar Crush Body Wash
Heel Genius Foot Cream

As soon as I started seeing people talking about this beautiful gift set I decided to pop to Boots and treat myself! The huge bag comes with eight products which are normally worth £60 but this gift set can be bought for £27!! I think this offer is only on till tomorrow or till stocks last so you better go grab yourself one before they all run out.

I really love Soap & Glory products, especially the Scrub of Your Life and Hand Food so I can't wait to have these in my stash and I won't have to buy any toiletries for a while I don't think!!

Who else has got The Yule Monty Christmas Bag?

sunday musings

Coat: Primark
Tunic: Topshop
Scarf: Topshop
Boots: Topshop

I've had a rather lovely weekend, enjoying a vintage fair, an extremely yummy hot chocolate, seeing family, eating pizza, watching Anchorman, filming, seeing my Dad in panto, eating yummy stew, wrapping presents and watching tv.

It might not sound overly exciting but being a working girl now, I live for the weekends, whether it be going out for dinner and shopping or slobbing around eating and watching films.

This is an outfit I've been loving lately, especially this coat and scarf which are old favourites of mine. It's pretty comfy but I think it looks like I've made a bit of effort, I hope?

It's getting extremely close to Christmas now which I'm really excited about but I'm trying to enjoy the lead up so it doesn't go too quickly! I've got seven days off work around Christmas so I can't wait to stuff my face, open presents and spend time with family!

What have you all been doing and who's excited for Christmas!?

Check out my Instagram if you want to see some pictures of my weekend.

exciting times!

So last week brought lots of exciting things for me, my blog and my youtube.
The first thing that happened last week was the release of the Primark Christmas video which I'm featured in!

I wrote a post about my time at Primark's HQ when me, Megan and Nick were part of Primark's Christmas video shoot. It was an amazing day and you can read about it and see lots of photos here.

The video went live on their new website and their YouTube channel. I absolutely LOVE the video and I can't believe how lovely it turned out. We were filming for about six hours but the video had to be cut down to 2 minutes and it was done amazingly.

You can watch the video above but if you want to go straight to the video on YouTube click here, or to the website here. I hope you like the video as much as me, let me know what you think!

To top off the video, Primark put an interview I did with them on the front page of their website for one day, but I took a screen shot which you can see below...

Last week I was also featured on the Sugarscape website as the 'NewTuber of the week' and the article was so lovely...you can read it here. I didn't even realise that they were writing something about me so it was extremely cool for me.

I don't want to go on about these things too much but I'm just so happy with what's been going on lately that I wanted to share it with my blog readers.

Thanks for being my followers and for helping these things happen!

me and my pink coat

Dress: Primark
Fur Collar: H&M
Boots: Schuh
Bag: Urban Outfitters

I'm back with an outfit post!

I really love the pink coat trend at the moment and I was so happy when I found this beauty on SheInside. When I first got it I was slightly worried that it was too pink and not pale enough but after seeing the Topshop one, I realised the peachy tone is quite nice!

I've worn this nearly every day since I've had it and it's so warm and cosy. The buttons/ poppers are slightly rubbish so I may have to replace them.

I hope you like my outfit?

I've had a pretty exciting week with my blog and YouTube and I'll tell you all about it tomorrow!
