London's calling..

Dan and I celebrated our seventh anniversary yesterday. We decided to go to London for a fun but chilled day. We didn't want to do anything overly touristy so we started off visiting Sloane Square/King's Road and stumbled across the Saatchi gallery which is where the majority of these photos were taken. It was free to get in and we both really enjoyed it; the art was a little bit weird but really good.
We then carried on walking and had a mooch around Chelsea before heading to Covent Garden. We really wanted to go to Five Guys as it's new and we LOVED it in America. It's a little pricey for your average fast food but it's amazing; the 'little' burgers and 'little' chips aren't very little and I love to go for the Cajun chips. The drinks machine has about 50 flavour variations of your usual Fanta, Sprite, Coke etc so we couldn't help but try loads of different ones; my favourite was the Peach Sprite, mmm!
Off we trotted to Oxford Street as Dan wanted to exchange some Topman jeans and I wanted to hunt down Monki. I bought a lovely jumper which is making me want the weather to get cold, oops!
We then wanted to chill a bit so headed for Green Park which was really lovely in the sunshine and we enjoyed people bitching watching before heading to spy on the funny soldiers at Buckingham Palace.
By this point we were starting to get hungry so we got the tube back to Covent Garden and went to Maxwells; it's not the most amazing place but they have good food and cocktail deals so we decided it was the best for us yesterday.

I hope you don't mind the rubbish photo quality, I didn't fancy lugging my big DSLR around with me so I took my point and shoot which is amazing for vlogs but not for photos I've realised, doh!
Overall we didn't go crazy but we had a lovely chilled out day in busy London. It's really nice to try and find new places there rather than going to the typical spots. I have more places I want to check out so we'll just have to go back!
I will be uploading an outfit post from this day soon so watch out for that.
Thanks for reading!

just casual.

Dress: ASOS
Shoes: Vans
Nails: Primark
Bag: Ebay
Although this dress is very simple and casual, I love it.
It was such a bargain as it was reduced from £18 to £14 but now it's even better as it's £12.50, so if you like it, go get it!
I've been wearing this outfit a couple of times this week as it's been nice to throw on in this hotter weather. I teamed the dress with my Vans because I thought it looked cuter like this but it would be just as perfect with sandals or boots and tights in winter.
The fabric is slightly strange as it feels almost bobbly but the pattern and shape make up for this!

Anybody got there eye on this dress?

San Francisco

Onto the next part of our American Adventure...San Francisco.

Upon reflection I think San Francisco had to be one of my favourite places on our trip. I loved how there was everything you needed in the city but it wasn't too crazy.

We stayed in a hostel, Hotel International near Union Square to be precise. This was the first and only hostel either of us have stayed in and it was amazing. We had a private room so it was basically like a hotel anyway. The staff were SO helpful and friendly and the security was really comforting.

We both loved Union Square as the shopping was so good (we also fell in love with The Cheesecake Factory) and I loved how easy it was to get around; we used the $2 trains/trams/buses, especially when we headed to Pier 39 and areas like that.

One of my fondest memories (even though it hurt at the time) had to be biking over the Golden Gate bridge; we hired bikes from Pier 41 and got a discount as we were staying in a hostel and set off on the 8 mile ride (so Dan tells me).
It was quite tough at times, although my fitness level is 0 so I'm sure for most people it'd be a breeze, but it was well worth it.
Cycling and standing on the bridge was very serial but very breath taking. We decided to cycle to the Italian-esque town of Sausalito which was so pretty and then get the ferry back as my bottom couldn't handle anymore. We actually ended up getting the wrong ferry back and ended up getting off at Pier 1 and having to cycle back to 41, oops.

A lot of these pictures were taken in the Haight area and the Alamo Streets as I really loved the vibe and architecture. I also really loved the vintage shops in the Haight area and I wish I had more money that I could've spent. San Francisco is SO pretty with the beautifully made buildings and the fact it's a seaside city.

We both decided that we would probably never want to visit San Francisco again, not because we didn't like it but because we thought we had done everything that we wanted to, but I've changed my mind; I loved the relaxed city vibe and I would love to be apart of that again one day.

spotty dotty

Dress: c/o SheInside
Sandles: Office
Leather Jacket: Primark
Bag: H&M
Watch: ASOS
I didn't have the best lighting for these photos and I'm still yet to fully learn the ropes of my camera so apologies for this!

This dress is another beauty from SheInside; I'm really loving polka dots at the moment and they're in nearly all the shops so they're definitely on trend.

I paired the girly dress with my Primark leather jacket and jelly sandals to give the outfit a bit of an edge. I haven't worn these sandals for YEARS because they were super uncomfortable but after my Dad chopped a bit off of them, I'm loving them again.

This dress is a really lovely smock shape and it's really comfortable as it's quite thin fabric. I would say it's rather short so I wouldn't be wearing this on a windy day and it's not extremely well made but it does the job and I love it nonetheless.

half sleeves

Tunic: c/o Sheinside
Leggings: New Look
Boots: New Look
Bag: Primark
Lips: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick
I fell in love with this tunic as soon as it arrived. I love anything that cinches in at the waist slightly and as I'm currently lusting over anything that's smock styled, this tunic from SheInside comes somewhere in between.

I love the scallop and lace detail and I think it's perfect with leggings as it's far too short to be called a dress; I'm 5ft and this just about covers my derriere. I liked the look of rolling up the bottoms and pairing the outfit with chunky heeled ankle boots.

I wore this dress out for dinner the other night and had to be extra careful with the tomato pasta sauce! I can't wait to keep styling this tunic with other outfits.

I hope you love the tunic just as much as me!

primark primark primark

So it's no surprise that I love a bit of Primark. I love how you can get some great quality items for a ridiculously cheap price.

Recently I've done a little bit of shopping in Primark so I thought I would share my recent haul video and my first ever outfit video, my Primark Lookbook.

Hope you enjoy!

next stop...Yosemite

Next stop: Yosemite National Park. After spending four nights in Las Vegas we got our hire car and started the long leg to Yosemite. Although the car journey took almost 9 hours, it was one of our favourite days as we drove through the vast Death Valley and the beautiful Yosemite, along the Tioga Pass. At times we had to switch our air con off to avoid the car over heating so we were melting but the landscapes made up for this.

Driving on the Tioga Pass, through Yosemite had to be one of my favourite parts of the entire trip, it was like being in a magical kingdom with the glistening lakes, gorgeous waterfalls and miles of pretty woodland. It was such a lovely change from the bright lights of Las Vegas and it really was something.

We stayed in Cedar Lodge which meant we had to drive into the park the next day but it wasn’t very far and it was easy on the eyes anyway. We had geekily bought hiking boots with us as we wanted to explore the park as much as we could in a day. We decided to do the uphill walk to the Nevada falls and it was gorgeous. It was quite tough at times but the waterfalls were incredible.
This was definitely a highlight of both of our trips and I would urge anyone that can go to go! I would love to go back, I doubt I will but it would be amazing. The thought of camping here every year with your family would be perfect.

Who else has been to Yosemite?

summer days.

Today me and my beautiful friends Lydia, Anna and Megan went to Mote Park in Kent for a lovely picnic. It was such a nice sunny day to walk around the lovely lake and I love some of these shots that I took.

What are you all doing on your summer holidays?
