something on a sunday: palmers natural bronze gradual tanner

Palmers Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturiser, £5.35
Today's post is dedicated to this much talked about Palmer's gradual tanner. I didn't want to buy into this blogging buzz but I needed to get my tan on and had no products to use. A lot of bloggers had been raving about this so I decided to buy into it.

The first time I used this was a bit of a disaster, after reading that it was really easy to apply and didn't cause patches, I slapped a lot of it on, not worrying too much about it. However, when I woke up, I had a bit of a scare because I had turned into an oompa loomper and it wasn't the most even application!

The next time I used this I was a lot more careful and I really made sure it was rubbed in evenly. When I woke up, it looked very natural and I was very pleased with it.

One application is enough for my pale skin but it can easily be built up to be dark. It lasts a good few days before you need to use it again and it is extremely moisturising.

If you want to try a new gradual tanner I would definitely recommend this; it does smell quite strong but it's not as unpleasant as other tanning products.

Have any of you tried this?

  1. "I had turned into an oompa loompa" Haha Faye, you crack me up! This is exactly what my first gradual tanning experience was like, too, despite being super careful with the stuff. Fortunately, I figured it out in the end, but I still find it to be such a hassle! If only I was naturally bronzed and healthy looking...

  2. I'm so lazy with fake tan, but I never seem to go browner no matter how long I stay in the sun. I may give this a go, I was looking at the St Tropez one in superdrug and I'm definitely not willing to pay that much for a fake tan. When I've applied fake tan in the past I've used an old fluffy primark sock to apply and it works really well :)

    Great post Faye

  5. I definitely love this stuff, for a gradual tan it gives just a good colour, I must have for 'sun kissed' skin!
