I have always been a bit of a hoarder, ever since I was a little girl. My parents always used to call me 'the bag lady' as I stuffed handbags everywhere in my room.

Recently I've been getting really frustrated with my room and all my stuff. After being inspired by Nouvelle Daily and other websites, I decided to sort my life room out.

I got rid of a lot of DVDs I didn't want and asked my Mum nicely if I could store the rest of them elsewhere.

I rearranged my shelves, making them look more organised by mixing up my DVDs and books and adding little items such as perfume bottles. I have always kept my empty perfume bottles, sometimes having other peoples. I just can't throw a way a pretty item. Luckily they came in handy for my little design change.

I used a storage idea from Nouvelle by putting my prettiest nail polishes in this glass jar. I love the way it looks and I think it's such a great idea.

I can never seem to throw away old magazines either, even though I know I will never look at them again. I decided to recycle the majority of them but keep my favourites and display them nicely.

I also sorted out my book shelf in a similar way and it makes it look so much better.

This is a bit of a different post to normal but I wanted to share this little change with you; I'm really getting into interior design and can't wait to have my own big space to start experimenting.

Having a clean, tidy room has made me feel so much better in myself, I know that sounds so strange but it's so nice to be in an organised environment.

I hope you like what I've done and I hope you get some great ideas from Nouvelle Daily too. I love interior design blogposts and it's nice that I can show you a bit of my room.

mini collective haul in pictures

Ojon Dry Recovery Travel Size: £6 each
Vans Authentic Navy Blue: £45
Tribal Maxi Skirt: Primark: £10
Rucksack: Urban Outfitters: £22
Moomin PJs: Primark: £5 top, £7 bottoms
Boots: New Look from Trago Mills: £10
I'm trying to be good with money at the moment and I'm attempting to justify everything before I buy it (ignore the boots and PJs...they were too cute).

The skirt, Vans and bag were bought for my trip to America in June so I'm classing them as 'practical'. I didn't actually have to spend a penny on the Vans as I had traded in some old uni books to Amazon and used the money to buy the Vans, bonus!

If you want to see me talking about the items in more detail, take a watch of my video:

overjoyed

Top: H&M
Heavy Leggings: Topshop
Boots: Topshop
Bag: H&M

The outfit posts are back!

I was literally so happy when I could take some outfit snaps for you outside, thank you sunshine!

At the moment I am loving having jeans or leggings rolled up to create a cute gap which you can see hear. It's not quite bare legged weather for me yet.

I absolutely love this top which I bought in an H&M sale for about £7 and I only ended up paying £2 because I had a £5 voucher, crazy.

This weather is making me feel so cheerful, I actually walked down the road in just a t-shirt, can you believe it?

Unfortunately I've got to do uni work the rest of this week so I doubt I'll be able to enjoy it very much but I will try!

I hope you like my outfit today and I all hope you're loving this weather we've got?

something on a sunday: topshop sale picks

1.Knitted Fluro Weave Jumper: WAS £38, NOW £20
This coral/pink jumper is perfect for our current weather with the slight chill to the air but the occasional sunshine; the bright colour really sets us up for Summer. The fact this is a weave texture means it wouldn’t be too warm and you could wear it with layers or on its own.

2.
Assure Ultimate Biker Boots: WAS £80, NOW £50
Chunky boots are everywhere at the moment and they are right on trend. These little beauties have been reduced from an eye watering £80 to an affordable £50. What’s even better is that they are real leather so you are getting a true bargain. I particularly love the heel on these as they give the otherwise boyish boot a girly edge; I would be finding the money for these if I didn’t have enough boots already, sob.

3. Velvet Peter Pan Dress by Oh My Love: WAS £35, NOW £25
absolutely love this dress and I would snap it right up if I had the money. I had seen one very similar, if not this exact one in Topshop a while back and I was pining over it. It’s the perfect dress to create an edgy, but sophisticated look. Velvet is great for an evening but the cute peter pan collar adds that little something.

4. Maveriq Heavy Studded Slippers: WAS £32, NOW £18For a time it seemed like everyone and their dog wanted a pair ofTopshop vectras, or again was that just me? Topshop are bringing them back this season and have even squeezed a few pairs into their sale. I particularly love these ones due to the unusual grey/lilac/pink colour which in my opinion is the shoe version of Model’s Own Utopia. Again another great bargain with a discount of £14.

5.Scuba High Neck Skater Dress: WAS £38, NOW £18
I don’t know about you but I crave a red skater dress every time I watch New Girl, is that just me? This is the perfect dress for the transition between day and evening as it could easily be dressed up or down. I like the high neck as it makes it particularly unique. A great bargain with an amazing£20 off.

6. Accubusi Hiker Hi Top Wedges: WAS £48, NOW £30
Another on-trend shoe is the Hi Top Wedge Trainer. I’ve tried numerous different pairs on but I can’t seem to find a pair that suit me. These are a great price for a stylish black Hi Top Trainer and could easily fill that sports luxe hole in your wardrobe.

my holiday in pictures

So while I was away in Cornwall, I wanted to improve my photography a bit so I took rather a lot of photos, particularly of boats and seagulls!

I thought I would share some of my favourites with you as I personally love lifestyle and photography posts so I hope you do too.

I had mentioned in my latest post that my holiday was not the only reason for my sporadic blogging lately. For some reason I feel a bit uninspired by my blog at the moment and I’m not really sure why.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that I’m on a student budget and I’m saving for a three week trip to America so I don’t often go splashing the cash, meaning I can’t review hundreds of products for you.

Personally I love reading blogs that are filled with lifestyle and general chit chatty posts so I might try and incorporate these into my blog a little more.

My favourite thing to do on my blog is outfit posts so I’m hoping the sun starts coming out so I can continue to improve my outfit photographs for you.

I’m really enjoying expanding and improving my YouTubechannel at the moment; I think I find it slightly more rewarding than my blog because I can be so open and it’s a lot easier to get my personality across.

I’m just hoping that soon my blog will be back to normal, hopefully even better than before but I need to find that spark and love for it again.

Am I the only one that feels like this sometimes or are there others out there that understand?

something on a sunday: what have i been up to?

I've been rather quiet on the blogging front lately and one of the main reasons is that me and my family went to Cornwall for a week and we had no internet. I had actually planned not to blog; sometimes it's nice not having to worry about posting things all the time.

I did make a VLOG of my week away which I've linked below and I will be posting some pictures soon as I tried to improve my photography over the week.

I hope you enjoy the vlog and the pictures that will be coming soon! Thanks for sticking with me.

i've got sunshine, on a cloudy day

Top: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: Primark
Belt: Primark
Boots: New Look
I wasn't actually planning on posting today, hence the lateness but I had the sudden urge to.

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago but it's one of those outfits I like to put together. I love this skater skirt from Primark, I think it looks better quality than you might expect for the price tag.

I found this top on a sale rail in Urban Outfitters and with student discount I think it was something silly like £9. UO's sales are pretty damn good.

It's a shame I couldn't take a more decent outfit picture but not all things can be super planned right?

PS. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out Kate's (ghostpartiesrecent blog post as it's really given me an 'oomph' to blog again. If you ever feel down about your blog, the feedback you get or the general blogging network, you will enjoy this blog as it will make you laugh and put things into perspective. Just a little shout out to Kate for being so lovely over twitter etc for recommending and complimenting my blog and YouTube, she's been so nice.

Enough of the cheese now...
