Stila In The Light Palette, £25 |
I've been eyeing up this lovely Stila palette for a while and when ASOS had a 20% student discount offer, I thought I would treat myself.
It's got a lovely range of matte, shimmery, base and contour shades and it has everything you need in a palette. I find the pigmentation is amazing, but you do have to be careful with the shadows as they can be slightly powdery, so just tap the brush before applying.
My favourite shades have to be: Bare (a neutral matte base shade), Kitten (a lovely shimmering base), Bubbly (a shimmering gold), Bliss (a subtle light brown matte), Sandstone (a perfect matte brown, contour shade) and Ebony (a black matte to create a shadow line). These are the ones I use the most to create everyday and evening looks. If you watch my Everyday Makeup Routine and my Get Ready With Me videos, you can see how I use them.
I think this palette is really versatile and would suit a lot of skin tones.
My only negative would be the packaging as it comes in this almost cardboard palette which can get easily dirty or dented.
Overall I'm really enjoying this palette and you can create many looks with it.
Have you got this palette or would you be interested?
Thank you to my new followers!
I love this palette so much! The glittery shades can be quite powdery as you say tho, if it gets in my eye too much it makes it water haha a lot of people miss the mirror in the packaging too but personally I don't mind it not having one

I have this, and I reviewed it too, My points are the same as yours as well as there isn't any mirror which is annoying, and it could have been made of something better than cardboard, however it doesnt change the fact that the colour pigment is amazing and the shades are really pretty, Lovely review :)

I am so glad you reviewed this! I have been wanting to buy this for a while now but have the Naked palettes and wasn't sure if this would be too similar! I prefer matte shades sometimes though so this sounds great! :) xx Beauty Becky

I really want a nice eyeshadow palette as I never ever wear it. I'm thinking MUA undressed first to see if I can make it suit then I think I will have to go for this!! Looks amazing

I really like the look of this palette, and the fact that plenty of the shadows are matte. I actually prefer matte eyeshadows and I find that most palettes consist mostly of shimmery ones.
ReplyDeleteI haven't got any of the urban decay palettes but was considering the basics one, but after seeing this I think I am going to wait for a good deal on this palette
