something on a sunday: london's calling

This is a bit of a catch up post as I wanted to share my latest video with you as it's a VLOG, so something a bit different. I went to London this week for my boyfriend's birthday and thought I would give vlogging a go as I'm planning on doing it when I go to Cornwall next week with the family.

I haven't been up to much lately as I've just finished lectures and seminars for uni FOREVER so I thought I would have a chilled week before I start this stress filled week of essay writing.

I'm starting to get rather excited as me and Dan are planning our three week trip to America. If any of you have any places or things to recommend in New York, Las Vegas, Yosemite, San Fran and LA then please let me know as I would love to make a big list. I can't wait to start making a shopping list too!

I will go for now but thank you for reading and sticking with me through these sporadic posts.

sleek blush in pixie pink

Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink, £4.49
I'm not sure I've ever shared this little fact with you before, but Sleek blushers are my favourite!

Rose Gold is one of my all time favourite blushers as I love the gold shimmer it gives your cheeks.

I have recently been craving a bright pink blush to tied my over for Spring (if we ever have one) and I decided to purchase Pixie Pink as I had seen it on a few blogs.

I absolutely love this blush so far and I think it will look amazing when the sun starts shining and I can wear pretty outfits.

It's the perfect subtle bright pink blush that is easily buildable as it is so pigmented and I really recommend it.

I think Sleek blushers are amazing for their affordable price tag and they rival many more expensive brands. Rose Gold is renound for being a brilliant dupe for Nars Orgasm and the next Sleek blush on my wish list is Mirrored Pink which is a lovely shimmering pink.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I thought I would link my latest video below as it's What's In My Bag and you'll like it if you're nosy like me!

something on a sunday: mint madness

Jumper: H&M
Jeans: Topshop
Boots: Topshop
Bag: H&M
Necklace: Debenhams

I really love this outfit post today. It's featuring two of my new favourite things, the H&M jumper and bag. If you had seen my Wish List a couple of weeks ago, you would have seen that I was pining over them. My boyfriend's lovely Mum surprised me with both the other day which I couldn't believe!

I love the mint colour of the jumper and I love how it's not too thick or thin, perfect for this transitioning weather.

The bag has become my new baby. I love how structured and sophisticated it is but with the added edge from the studs.

I couldn't be happier with these new pieces and I can't thank Mrs S enough!

I hope you've all had good weekends, mine's been pretty chilled but it's the calm before the storm as I'll have to be writing uni essays this week. I'm rather excited about this evening and tomorrow's as I'm seeing all my lovely friends.

Thanks for reading and I would love it if you could follow my blog on bloglovin.

my new friend

Ethic & Style Custom Iphone 5 case, $28.90 (£19.10), exc delivery.
I really wanted to do a post on my new Iphone case as I'm in love!

I had been eyeing this handmade case up on Etsy for a while and decided once I got my new Iphone5 that I would treat myself to it.

It's from Germany and if you request a certain design (there's eighteen options), it does take about 3-4 weeks to arrive but I really think it's worth it.

It's 100% wool as you can see and I love the cute and unusual design. I love the beaded detail and it's so well made and packaged.

As you can tell, I really love this and I'm so impressed with it so far. Sometimes I'm a bit dubious about taking it out my bag in case people look at me funny but I've realised I don't care...it's too cute.

They do many versions for different Iphone types and they even do them for Kindles and Ipads (amazing right?)

I also made a Castagram when I got my new phone so now I have the perfect combination.
I hope you like this as much as me, thanks for reading!

something on a sunday: let the sun shine

Coat: Primark
Shirt: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop
Tights: Primark
Fur Stole: H&M
Boots: Topshop

As you can see it was actually sunny the other day, hurrah!

I tried to wear something a bit more adventurous to uni the other day. I will be finished for weekly uni visits in two weeks time so I'm making the most of my trips out as I'll be home bound by revision soon!

I haven't worn this shirt in ages but I fancied giving it another go...I'm loving the shirts at the moment.

As most of you know, silly Google will be messing us all up so I would really appreciate it if you could follow me on Bloglovin, I've added a follow button to the side or you can follow HERE.

If any of you subscribe to my YouTube then I just want to say a big thank you as I've gone over 10000 subscribers which is absolutely crazy.

another jumper...

Jumper: My Dad's
Shirt: H&M
Necklace: Debenhams
Leggings: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Bag: Ebay
As you can see, I'm channeling the jumper-shirt combo again. I think I'm stuck in a bit of a rut with fashion at the moment, but the weather isn't helping, one moment it's all sunny and the next the wind is physically rocking my car (yes this happened).

These outfits are perfect for a chilly day at uni when I need to be comfortable and not too snazzy, I just chuck a coat and snood on too.

I've decided I need to start mixing up my outfits a bit more but I'd quite like some consistency with the weather too (please?).

I will be finished with seminars and lectures FOREVER in two weeks time so I'm planning on upping the blogging and gym sessions, any encouragement would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the lovely feedback on my lifestyle post, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

afternoon tea

It's not very often that I do lifestyle posts, but I'm hoping to integrate it a bit more into my blog because I love it on other people's blogs.

This weekend it was my boyfriend's Nan's 70th birthday and we went for 'Afternoon Tea'.

I absolutely loved all the quaint cups and sauces, jugs and the pretty cakes. The scones were rather tasty as you can see.

I love that whole 'shabby chic' look and I would love to have odd tea sets like this in the future.

I'm also trying to improve my photography so it gave me a chance to have a little play around.

Do you like reading lifestyle posts and seeing photography like this?

something on a sunday: wish list

1. I've been wanting this H&M bag for a while now and I was planning on buying it the other day as I had a 25% student discount voucher but it was sold out everywhere. I know it will be one of those items that I always pine over but never buy it, I just don't have the money at the moment. I love the simplicity of it, yet it's rather beautiful. I think it looks a lot more expensive and looks very similar to this Zara one.

2. After seeing Tanya Burr and Zoella rave about this Estee Lauder 'Raisins' eye shadow palette, I've fallen head over heels. This is a rather expensive 'want' for me as it's £23 for two shadows but the combination of both looks lovely. I love creating a subtle smokey eye at the moment and I think this is the perfect palette for an easy look. I'll probably have to wait for my birthday before I splurge out on this though unfortunately.

3) This product is a lot more affordable and can be bought with a simple CLICK, but I still haven't yet for some reason. I've read a lot of good things about this NUXE lip balm and I'm so tempted to get it soon. I have a bit of an obsession with vaseline as my lips get sore quickly, but I fancy trying something a bit more 'up-market'.

4) I've actually tried this mint green jumper on in H&M already but again, I don't have the money to keep spending at the moment, even though it's got a reasonable price tag of £14.99. I love a nice simple jumper at the moment, they're just so versatile as they can be worn with jeans, leggings, skirts and over dresses. I think I might have to get this soon as it's such a great Spring colour.

5) I've decided that I want to try some more primers out as I constantly use Rimmel Match Perfection Fix and Perfect Primer and I fancy a change and to see if I prefer any others. I've read quite a bit about this Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer but I think I will do some further research before I bite the bullet. I do know they have a travel size which is a bit more affordable so I might give it a go.

I hope you like my current wishlist. Have you been lusting over anything lately?

stila in the light palette

Stila In The Light Palette, £25
So I've had this Stila In The Light palette for a while now but I wanted to ensure I used it enough before I gave a review about it. I have the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette but I wanted some more matte shades in my eye shadow collection. I nearly bought the new edition to the Urban Decay Naked family, the Basics palette, but I didn't overly like the shade range and didn't think there was enough choice to spend the money on.

I've been eyeing up this lovely Stila palette for a while and when ASOS had a 20% student discount offer, I thought I would treat myself.

It's got a lovely range of matte, shimmery, base and contour shades and it has everything you need in a palette. I find the pigmentation is amazing, but you do have to be careful with the shadows as they can be slightly powdery, so just tap the brush before applying.

My favourite shades have to be: Bare (a neutral matte base shade), Kitten (a lovely shimmering base), Bubbly (a shimmering gold), Bliss (a subtle light brown matte), Sandstone (a perfect matte brown, contour shade) and Ebony (a black matte to create a shadow line). These are the ones I use the most to create everyday and evening looks. If you watch my Everyday Makeup Routine and my Get Ready With Me videos, you can see how I use them.

I think this palette is really versatile and would suit a lot of skin tones.
My only negative would be the packaging as it comes in this almost cardboard palette which can get easily dirty or dented.

Overall I'm really enjoying this palette and you can create many looks with it.

Have you got this palette or would you be interested?

Thank you to my new followers!

primark haul in pictures #3

Pug Double Duvet, £11
Cosy Socks, 2 pairs, £2
Black socks, 5 pairs, £2
Black skater dress, £5
Triangle necklace, £3
Earrings, 12 pack, £2.50
Neon nail polishes, £2
Sunglasses, £1 each

It's that time again...

If you don't subscribe to my YouTube channel, or you don't watch videos, here are some pictures of what I picked up in there the other day.

The majority of it is slightly less exciting (like the socks...but everybody needs socks right), but the Pug duvet is my absolutely favourite purchase...maybe ever.

I love little dogs, especially Pugs and French Bulldogs so when I saw this I HAD to have it. I think it looks great on my bed and looks a lot more expensive than the actual price tag.

The neon nail polishes are a must have for Summer and are a great dupe for the up and coming Model's Own Ice Neon collection, for a fraction of the price.

I love these Rayban-esque sunglasses and I buy them every year so I have plenty of unbroken sunglasses.

I love this simple, basic skater dress which can be dress up or down and can be great under jumpers. For £5 I just had to snap it up.

I hope you like my purchases and feel free to watch the video to see the things in more detail.

something on a sunday: shopping the wardrobe

Coat: H&M (old)
Fur Stole: H&M (old)
Jumper: Topshop (old)
Shirt: H&M
Leggings: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Bag: Ebay
Nails: Bourjois Bleu Fabuleux
I've been a rubbish blogger lately and my only excuse is that I've been having to do so much uni work, mainly essays, which has just taken over my life! Now that they are handed in I can resume normal, more regular blogging.

This outfit isn't the most exciting as it was something I just chucked together, again using the trusty ol' shirt and jumper combo which I've been loving a lot lately. I've been really liking this nail polish lately and it's a really good dupe for Topshop's AWOL, even though they are practically the same price!

The main thing I love about this outfit is this coat which I suddenly remembered I had from H&M ages ago. I teamed it with my favourite fur stole and I fell in love with it again.

Things are starting to be quite exciting for me in the blogging and Youtube world as Estee from EssieButton featured me in her February Favourites video and now things have gone a little crazy. I can't believe I've now gone over 6800 subscribers and my video where my Dad does my makeup has spiralled over 15000 views! It's rather mental but I'm so grateful to everybody for being so nice.

I have been shopping in Primark this weekend so watch out for a post very soon.

Thanks for reading.
