another stormy day

I haven't done an outfit post in a while because it takes me such a long time to set up and I feel like I need to take about 200 pictures before I find one that I slightly like.

This is just a casual outfit which I wore today to meet my friends for lunch and have a wander round town. I'm debuting my charity shop bag which was originally from H&M and I bought it for £2! I've been liking the idea of having an orange satchel for a while so it was perfect!

I was originally wearing the belt...

Dress: Topshop
Belt: Primark
Sandles: New Look
Bag: Charity shop
Necklace: Wallis (I think)
Then I decided against the belt..

My £2 charity bag!

Well I hoped you liked my outfit post and my new bag.

I'm on a bit of a high today as I had a lovely lunch with friends, got a new job and had a fun evening with more friends. All in a day's work!

I'm also off on holiday on Sunday, I cannot wait.
Are any of you going away or are you enjoying this lovely reliable weather we're having?

Thanks for reading.

my favourite summer nail polishes.

I hope you are all having nice relaxing sundays. I unfortunately have been at work but I only work Sundays so I suppose I shouldn't complain. I'm not sure about you but I'm really excited about the Olympics closing ceremony tonight. I have enjoyed the Olympics but in a way I'm glad it's over now; I can get back to watching the tv I usually do!

I've been very lucky in the last week as I have been awarded the Liebster Award from two lovely bloggers. It's basically an award given to fellow bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The lovely Emily and Hollie have both given me this award lately which I'm really grateful for because it's nice to know someones reading my blog!

I'm going to cheat a bit with the 'award rules' though because I have had a similar award before and answered similar questions before so I don't want to bore you. I do however want to encourage you to go and visit both of these girl's blogs though because I love both of their blogs...

Hollie's: http://holliegrace.blogspot.co.uk/

Thanks again girls!

Moving on however...

I have been wearing these two extremely bright nail polishes a lot recently and wanted to share them with you. I really think both of them are the perfect summery nail polishes...even if we haven't had the perfect summer.

So my favourite summer nail polishes are Model's Own Beach Party and Hedonist from the HedKandi collection. I have also got Balearic Cool but I don't find it very opaque and it needs at least three coats. Obviously you can either do the Model's Own offer of buy 3, save £3 (but you have to pay delivery) or head over to ASOS with free delivery and 10% student discount.

I love these polishes. They are so bright and so vibrant. Whenever I wear them I always get compliments and they make me feel happy, brightening dull day.

I hope you like these polishes. Do any of you have them?

essie leopard print nails

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a good day!

Today I just wanted to show you one of my favourite types of nail art...leopard print. I use the infamous technique by Gem which is so easy yet so effective. I used a Model's Own WAH! Nail Pen to create the black pattern.

This time round I wanted to use some of my favourite nail polishes which are my Essie ones. I only have a few but they really are lovely colours and I would really miss them if they weren't in my collection anymore. I have the three pastel shades Fiji (which is a very pale pink, almost white), Van D'Go (which is a darker but dusky pink) and Mint Candy Apple (which is the very hyped pastel green).

Essie polishes are pretty pricey at £7.99 but I think they're worth it because they have such an unusual colour range which you wouldn't normally find anywhere else. The colour pay off is pretty good as I would say a maximum of two coats is needed.
These three colours work really well together which is why I decided to use them to create my leopard print.

I'll stop rambling now so you can take a look...

Excuse the gross stubby nails
I hoped you liked my small Essie nail collection and my leopard print nails.

summer rain

Hi I hope you are all ok.

I've been pretty busy lately with my sister's wedding, fun days out and nice days in. Me and my two lovely friends, Lydia and Megan (from Meg's Budget Boutique) made a video which was our 'All Time Makeup Favourites' so check it out HERE.

With the weather at the moment I have been struggling to decide what to wear. It's been hot but not very sunny so I don't feel quite right with getting my legs out (not that I ever do really). Tonight's post is just to show you a little outfit that I have been loving lately because it has been perfect for the weather. A nice little tunic dress with leggings and sandles. I can't forget my favourite statement necklace which was a wonderful Primark bargain. I think Primark might be having one of their good phases. I fancy getting some of their shoes because I don't have many cute flats.

Enjoy...
Tunic: Primark
Leggings: H&M
Sandles: New Look
Necklace: Primark

So just a little outfit post for you!
I think these tunics are pretty popular but I think they're really cute with the embroidery at the top. These are my favourite sandles which I must have got about two years ago. They are pretty unique but still so comfortable.

On a random note I really want to lose my Soap & Glory virginity so if you have any recommendations that would be great. Mainly interested in a moisturiser or scrub?

Thanks for reading, have a good evening!

P.S we're doing pretty good in the Olympics aren't we...woop!
